I spend a beautiful weekend in Romania. As a right dietitian I was tasting a local cuisine and taking photos of everything what I ate. So I would like to show you some romanian meals.
Traditional romanian food is corn porridge mămăligă (you know it as a polenta) with pork meat or cabbage Rolls (sarmale). They are made with sour cabbage stuffed with pork and beef and litle bit of rice. White bread is a typical part of every daily meal.
If you visit Romania, do not expect anything low-calorie:-)
Telemea is cheese of the same type as Balkan, just less salty.
Papanaşi – is a curd donut with sour cream and jam. Recommendation: One serving of this dessert is for two people than for one 🙂
